Sonja Wolf

Investigadores

Sonja Wolf holds a PhD in International Politics (Aberystwyth) and is a Cátedra CONACYT Assistant Professor with the Drug Policy Program at the Centre for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE), Mexico. Previously, she held research positions at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and the Mexico City-based Institute for Security and Democracy (INSYDE). Dr Wolf’s research interests focus on forced migration, violence, street gangs, and security policies, especially in Central America. She is the author of Mano Dura: The Politics of Gang Control in El Salvador (University of Texas Press, 2017). Currently she is also a Visiting Fellow at the Latin America and Caribbean Centre (LACC) of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
